Privacy Policy
Last updated: 22 August 2026
This policy explains how AIRanQ, operated by [Your registered company name] (“we”, “us”), collects and uses personal data when you use our website and service. We are the data controller for the purposes of UK GDPR.
1. What we collect
- Account & contact: your email address (used for magic-link sign-in and reports).
- Business inputs: the business name, website, category, and location you enter for a scan.
- Scan data: results we generate about your AI visibility over time.
- Payment: handled by Stripe. We do not store your card details; we receive limited billing data (e.g. subscription status, last 4 digits) from Stripe.
- Technical & usage: IP address, device/browser data, and basic usage needed to run and secure the Service.
2. How we use it & legal bases
- To provide the Service (running scans, tracking, dashboards) — performance of a contract.
- To bill you and prevent abuse — contract and legitimate interests.
- To send weekly reports and alerts — performance of a contract; service emails relate to your subscription.
- To improve and secure the Service — legitimate interests.
- To comply with law — legal obligation.
3. Who we share it with (processors)
We use trusted third parties to run the Service. They process data on our behalf under contract:
- Supabase — database & authentication.
- Stripe — payments and subscription management.
- Resend — sending transactional and report emails.
- Vercel — hosting.
- AI engine providers (e.g. OpenAI, Google, Perplexity, OpenRouter) — we send them the buyer-style questions and your business/website context to run scans. We do not send them your email or payment data.
4. International transfers
Some processors are located outside the UK/EEA. Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Standard Contractual Clauses.
5. Retention
We keep account and scan data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards, then delete or anonymise it, unless we must keep it longer for legal or accounting reasons.
6. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data; object to or restrict certain processing; and request data portability. To exercise these, email us (below). You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
7. Cookies
We use only the cookies necessary to run the Service — for sign-in sessions, keeping track of your free-scan allowance, and remembering a scan through checkout. We do not use advertising cookies.
8. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe.
9. Contact
For any privacy request, email hello@airanq.app (replace with your support address).
